Charles Onyeabor feat. Miriam Taylor il nuovo singolo “They can’t pull us down”

Figlio del famoso cantante nigeriano William Ezechukwu Onyeabor scomparso nel gennaio 2017, fin da piccolo è cresciuto ascoltando i brani di suo padre. Charles in segreto cercava di studiare musica, infatti la sua decisione era quella di trasferirsi in America per poter continuare gli studi e far conoscere le sue canzoni. Nel crescere, il suo genere musicale si proietta più su un sound rap, poi con il tempo perfeziona un proprio stile, che vuole far conoscere in Italia. Il singolo "They can't pull us down" rispecchia in tutto per tutto il suo essere e suo modo di vivere, in una frase in particolare che tradotta significa "la vita è adesso e non è mai troppo tardi per viverla al meglio".

Charles: "Ogni uomo che cade giù anche per colpa degli altri deve lottare per rialzarsi da solo, la vita è adesso... vivila adesso".

Il brano è stato composto e scritto da lui stesso in collaborazione di ARTESTUDIO53 di Franco Poggiali e del compositore Sandro Bartolozzi, che vanta collaborazioni con molti artisti italiani e firme su brani della compilation "Cafe' del Mar". Nella canzone compare anche la cantante/vocal coach nota con il nome di Miriam Taylor. La sua voce soul caratterizza fortemente il brano. Il suo voler far musica è un vero e proprio omaggio al padre, per far sì che il suo nome non venga mai dimenticato, infatti, dichiara "Il prossimo brano parlerà proprio di questo, inoltre sto realizzando un feat. con un cantante Canadese".

Nel 2013 è stato realizzato un Greatest Hits dal nome "WHO IS WILLIAM ONYEABOR", cantato e riarrangiato da molti artisti stranieri tra cui, David Byrne, Sinkane. Dopodiché è stata fondata anche una band dal nome "ATOMIC BOMB BAND", omonimo del brano dello stesso William Onyeabor.
